Annual Conference of AIESEC Estonia – day 1

Well, it’s almost an hour past midnight and the first day of the conference is now almost over. There was a open seminar called “Kõik on enda teha” and some really awesome people came to speak about entrepreneurship and how to be successful in the tough business world by doing something good. I managed to listen to two sessions and I really enjoyed them both.

After running some errands and getting back only to see that the seminar had ended already, there was some more free time to prepare for the Official Dinner. It’s a lovely evening when some special people who are in AIESEC and who have been in AIESEC in previous years will say what’s on their mind and how much they enjoy the direction of AIESEC today.

I really liked what one of our alumni said – AIESEC has always been a place where you get to plan a whole lot and do not so much. However, it’s great, because in the life ahead, you get to do so much and plan so little that in the end, it all evens out so well :)

Then it was time for the awards. I’m really not an award-getting-kind-of-person :D Well, today to my big surprise, I got two ;) The first one being Member excellence award for contributing a lot to my local committee and the second one was Team excellence award for our EB team. I’m soooo happy cause I didn’t really even imagined I could get these awards :) Thank you so much for all of you, it really means a lot to me.

Now it’s past midnight, memories from Tallinn are slowly beginning to fade away while looking at all these tired people who are ready to rock the next three days as much as they can! It’s bloody cold though :D

So, tomorrow in the early morning we’ll start our sessions, all the good stuff is ahead ;) But until then, sweet dreams and rock on!
